Default New truck!!!

Hi,
I used to be a member here about 4 yrs ago. I ended up selling my truck. Since then I've graduated Lincoln tech for diesel technology. I currently work at a Hino and Fuso dealership.
After my first second gen RAM I fell in love. So I bought another one!!! Now I'm a member of this awesome forum again.

Well here's the new truck!!!!
It's a 97 2500 5.9L gas with a 5 speed and 187k miles and a cold air intake

And a lift, and some other goodies.

Thanks heyyou! I love it!! The guy I bought it off said he never put a lift. However he wasn't the original owner. I'm told it has the tow package and the 4.1 rear axle.
You were here when i was a member by the name bigblue.
You and a few others helped me with a coolant leak at My timing chain.

My truck has the tow package, heavy duty package, and even the plow package, but, still has 3.55 gears.....

What size tires are those? That truck looks a LOT like it has a lift on it. take a look at the front springs, see if there are spacers in there, or additional blocks in the back.

I plan on requesting a build sheet. It def looks and seems higher then a few other 2500 I looked at.
Tires are 285/75/16 I'm not sure what that equals out to. Next time I go out I'll look at the suspension

Those are 33" tires, basically. Yeah, you have a lift. Don't get that much clearance over 33's without one. At least, I don't have that kind of clearance over my 265's.......

Pretty rare. Finding a V8 2500 in itself is kinda rare.

More than just the second gens...... I was originally looking for a chevy truck, simply because that is what I was more familiar with working on. But, they were extremely hard to find, and even when you did, it would be a 200K mile truck, that was beat to crap, and they still wanted 6 grand for it....... I got my ram for around 2600...... of course, when I got it, it ran like crap, that brakes made extremely rude noises, the plenum was blown, and had been for years, apparently....... but it *only* had 168,000 miles on it....... Lowest mileage truck that I had found. Best price too......
