Well I co-owned a 98 v10 with my brother for like 6 months last year. It was nice, laramie qc sb, with tan leather, nice shape, 126k. We got it for $1500 with a bad PCM. I think I should've sold my 1500 and used that money to buy him out since we sold it anyways. Only put 300 miles on it in those 6 months. That thing was so fun to drive, all the torque you ever needed whenever your right foot wanted it though

I want one. Trouble is, finding one that doesn't have 3 million miles on it around here...... I expect that I will see single-digit fuel consumption (no way I can call it 'fuel economy'...... that's just wrong. ) for the first few months, as I get that big smile every time I push hard on the go-pedal.

I don't think it makes a difference how hard (or soft) you push the go-peddle... they suck the tank dry just as quick ;-)
Touch the peddle and the fuel gauge needle falls out the door

Yeeesssss, that serious sucking sound you hear is gas going out of the tank, and money out of your wallet.

See trucks like this a lot on the local site. If that was a cummins one could ask over double the price for it. V10's have a bad rep for fuel consumption but how much extra fuel would you have to consume to make up a $7000 difference and lower maintenance costs? You guys are talking me into getting another v10

God those are ugly wheels.....

Needs ball joints and tie rods? They should knock $500 off the price tag just for that!

Reminds me of the slurping noise you can make with a straw when finishing a drink...

Thats pretty cheap as it is for a 2nd gen with a good body and 4wd around here. Its almost impossible to find one that doesn't need front end work here, apparently people forget grease guns exist. Believe me if the front end was good they would jack the price up some more.

Buy a regular 1500 4x4. Swap out the gears for 4.10 and True-tracs front and rear. Add 2" tall Superlift coils up front, and a 2" rear add-a-leaf, and 285/75/16" tires of your choice on rims of your choice. You'd come out ahead of what they want for the off-road edition trucks, and you'd be slightly taller and have better traction than the off-road edition trucks.
