Well, to tie in a story about two birds with one stone....

The passenger side seat belt is in bad condition and I didn't feel like paying $180 for a new seat belt and I already had 'burb seats. Since they have the seat belt built in to the seat I decided to switch them in. Removing my stock belts and will be selling the drivers side one in good condition. Which will probably cover the cost I initially paid for the truck!

I don't have any kind of seat belt light going off. Not sure if it just doesn't have one or if mine just doesn't work.

There should be a module under the center console for your seatbelts..... I think that controls the lights and such, I think it also controls them locking under hard deceleration.... but, if the GM seatbelts do the important stuff on their own...... and nothing is whining at you, think I would just leave it in peace. Not like GM is going to be using the same connectors/module...... (though, it would be interesting if they did......)

GM Belts do lock up on hard stops, verified. I haven't seen anything resembling a module where the center console used to be. But if it controls lock up it makes me want to hurry up and finish the passenger side so I'm not worried about the child seat. Unless it's under the carpet. Looks like the previous owner may have tried some electrical things here and there. The radio is definitely not wired up right and drivers side high beam keeps blowing the bulbs.

I don't wanna pay more for my seats than I did for the truck though.

The seat belt module usually mounts to the bottom of the '20' part of the front split bench.

They are pretty comfortable. For what they cost, they could make a few more improvements though. I need to run electric to mine so the heating and cooling work.
