To get parts for an Isuzu I'm working on, as usual, I wandered through the dodge section, because I'm always looking....didn't find anything I needed for the Green Monster, so, Isuzu parts in hand, I wandered out to pay. On my way out I walked past a Jeep GC, and something told me to check the front of it. There they were, the holy grail of GC's, factory front recovery hooks!! Mine for 20 bucks. Those things are like hens teeth. Now I just need to find some for the Green Monster. I tell you, pretty much all the Rams I find are either missing what I want, or the part is already trashed. One day I hope to find an unbroken dash top. Don't laugh, I found a complete and unbroken sub dash a few months ago, safely tucked away in the garage waiting for me to get to the heater core. Still on the search for a Utility body to replace the bed, found a couple, but they want way to much for them, hard to locate for an extended cab truck.

 

Cool. Don't waste your time looking for a dash top. Chances are it's already cracked or will when you remove it. They naturally get brittle over time and turn to basically glass. Mine just shattered when I replaced it. Get instead the LMC dash which is better plastic and a perfect look and fit!

 

The stuff you need is out there, just a matter of persistence and luck, that's the fun of it. I'm doing the dash top / heater core re and re next weekend myself, was lucky enough to find one in tact and @ the $15 it cost me it's worth a shot to see if it will last. Sorry but I'm not ready to pay almost $500 to get an LMC dash here (stupid Canada).

 

It's only $259 US. You telling me prices DOUBLE in CA?

Think of it as only a few tanks of gas. Puts it in perspective real quick. Or just move south. We have way more rights here anyway.

 

Exchange rate, at VAT at the border..... It's insane. Thought we had a free trade agreement with our Northern neighbors.....

Yeah, LMC charges for oversized freight on the dash as well, so tack that on. It's very near to $500 in our monopoly money. This place stinks in so many more ways than one, you guys have it good!!

I thought Obummer gave us all free health care?! Ya know, from his stash or whatever.
