I found this 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 sport 5.9l auto. around 140,XXX miles. Has a leveling kit in the front with 3/4 springs and a 3 inch block lift in the rear. Has 38 inch tires. He says it lifts it around 6 inches. The transmission is weak. It comes with a manual transmission out of a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9l gas rig. He is wanting $1000. Seems pretty fair to me. I’m just not sure what all I would need in order to put that transmission in? I feel like 38 might be to big of a tire. So I would need smallers ones. Or put a lower geared rear and front end. Is it worth it? Would you buy it?
We get off work at 7 a.m central time. I work with the guy that is selling the truck. He said he will take some when he gets off work. it has leather seats with automatic controls.
Can't see the rockers, are they rotted up? If the transmission doesn't come with all the other stuff you need, like pedals clutch/flywheel ... you know everything you'd need to do the swap, I think I'd price it like I was going to rebuild the auto trans that is in it.
