Harley Davidson edition?

Harley Davidson edition?
I just bought a 97 1500. A step up from my 97 dakota.
It has a Harley Davidson edition badge on both sides. At first I thought that it was something that somebody put on the truck. But closer inspection and some measurements they seem to be in the exact same place on both sides.
I can't see someone making sure they are in the exact same spot. Down to 1/32th of an inch.
Also read about someone saying they had a 95. 3500 H.D. edition.
That he was told that dodge put out a few years of H.D editions before ford took over making there H.D. editions.
So did dodge make a H.D. edition.
Or is it something someone made up? Its on a black truck with red letters. Badge is gold.
Eather way. I love the truck that I just picked up. Its got the 5.9lt motor. 4x4. Lifted. Got a roll bar in the bed. I know that style went out a long time ago. But it does look good on this truck.

I see references to them in various places, but, I can find absolutely nothing that implies Dodge ever actually made them. They appear to be one-off custom setups. Maybe at some point a dealer was doing it? But, so far as I can discover, Dodge never made 'em. Harley had their deal with Ford, after all.
