Armor All plastic interior cleaner actually works fairly well. I think it also has UV blocking properties, which is what kills the dash in the first place.

Well been dragging my feet again got the passenger valve cover tubes rockers off found the tool i ordered for the valve springs wont work, messed with the vrp plates a bit decided they were a little over my head to install as i dont have a TIG. Decided to drop the intake off at a machine shop and have them fit the plates as well and port/polish the intake and im going to see if theyll to the TB as well or order a bigger one. also due to the above issue i made the decision to pull the heads and take them to the machine shop they're going to check em over really good vacuum test it port polish install my springs and such then flow test the intake/heads as a set

Probably over kill for what I'm doing and what i actually hope to achieve with the truck but it'll be done. guess we can push it as hard as the bottom end will let me then. Really no plans for forced induction but maybe i should look into it. I work at a diesel shop random turbos always coming through the line lol

any other recommendation ideas of what i should do or look at at this point, maybe new injectors? stock or larger? i do intend on FRP tuning once we're back together, i keep toying the idea of a different cam at this point now, little more hopped up street truck sounding setup but 300hp is more then enough to me too

Ok, right thread now.

Harland Sharp roller rockers, 1.7 ratio.
Headers, free flowing exhaust.
Tune. This will help across the board.

I'll still be putting this cam in unless i bought a different one, any benefit to just doing the rockers instead of the cam? or do the rockers with the cam?

Stick with stock ratio rockers for that one. Otherwise, you will need to do some other valvetrain work as well, as it will exceed maximum lift for the stock springs. (.480) No idea if you will require a tune for that one.... but, it likely sure wouldn't hurt.

So as if this project hasn't been taking long enough already. I now have the itch to twin turbo this motor, I'm not to concerned about the miles and whatever if I shatter the block. I have two engines here already pulled that could be built correctly if/when needed, Its just a toy anyway. I did stumble onto a youtube build for a guy doing about the exact same thing so been reading and taking notes ect, I really don't have a set power goal in mind more so I want twin turbos so that's gonna set the power goal I guess.

Run a reasonable amount of boost, and even a stock motor won't mind it overmuch. Of course, forced induction WILL require some custom tuning.
