Default 2wd Front End Flex/Bend Cracked?

First of all, I haven't been on a forum in maybe 8 years but it seems you can't get a right answer on Facebook and forums are where I learned everything. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 2wd with the Cummins but it has 474k miles on it. I have had some front end issues for months to years and after some magnetic camera footage time, I believe my upper control arm/coil spring mount seems to be moving on bumps. It isn't moving a bunch but it noticable moving which I believe is making my driver's front end feel out of whack at times. Everything in my front end is in good shape and will drive straight with no hands on the highway but something in the front end makes it pick up all the small bumps and whatnot. I do not see any cracks anywhere from looking and seeing what the common areas online. Does anyone has experience with their 2wd drive truck front ends with issues I'm having? I'm at the point if I wanna keep putting money into my truck or just find something else swap parts over.

Well, being in texas, I am going to guess that rust just isn't much of a problem...... Upper control arm mounts are pretty stout though, are you sure it's moving??

For example, I have my camera mounted belong the engine facing the driver's side, it appears the the upper coil spring bracket along with the front of the frame will flex up and down on bumps, not sure how to share a video on here

I saw a minor amount of flex, not enough that I think it would cause an issue. Maybe they all do that. I have no 2wd to compare it to. I did notice it kept bouncing, which would tell me the shocks are bad.

I mean I can feel something physically loose while driving but there isn't anything visibly loose looking over everything. Only thing I can do I believe is just tear the driver's side of front end apart and just look it all over better that way but I can't do that for a few weeks at least

It seems to be centralized on the driver's side front end because I can feel through the floorboard and also it makes the steering wheel shake sometimes. What I do seem to feel is when I turn left the front end doesn't seem as stable from just a small turn to a full turn if that makes sense.

The only think that makes the truck stable feeling would be control arms and the coil. Inspect welds for cracks. Might find something. Not much to a 2wd front end

I have the same issue. Mines a 99. I've replaced the upper and lower control arms, the shocks, steering box, Pittman arm and the ball joints. I just need tie rod ends and it still is out of whack. I'm in the same boat on getting rid of it or putting more money into it
