Exterior mods I've done are the headlights - changed to the sport style 4 bulb headlights and added a relayed wiring harness - purchased it from these folks - https://ceautoelectricsupply.com/hea...ion-relay-kit/

Also added a Westin push bar to the front chrome bumper, along with the factory style front tow hooks and factory style fog lights..

Tires are Michelin LTX 285-75-16 on 16"x8" 2nd gen late model aluminum wheels.

It's been so long ago, I don't recall where I found them. I did buy the complete kit of OEM tow hooks that included the brackets, tow hooks and hardware (nuts, bolts and washers), likely off the web somewhere. The kit part number was either 82204881 or 82202863. They do pop up used from time to time on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist. I did find a used set once that a person was selling locally for $40 (no hardware, just the hooks and brackets), that I ended up re-selling since I didn't purchase the truck I had my eye on at the time.

An update: I did a quick bit of checking and I bought the Dodge Ram 2nd gen tow hook kit brand new from an online Dodge parts dealer back in January 2010. Here's the details - 1 x Tow Hooks (1994-2002 ) (82204881) = $118.80 + shipping

I did the sport conversion, first my own harness then that CE kit. Still doesn't have much reach but is bright right up front. I may upgrade bulbs or look into projectors. I have yellow fog light lenses with 886 light bulbs which are way better than the OE 896 (37.5w vs 50w). The yellow fog light upgrade with 886s makes even the worst blowing snow way easier to see through.

Jaw - Other exterior mods that you might be able to do on your own is color matching faded plastics or painting them black. Can really roll back the age on your truck just restoring and refinishing. If your pockets are deep enough a nice hood does wonders. I'm a fan of painted OE style flares as well. Depends on what you are after, looks or function?

I have similar experiences with the CE relay harness kit, so I called him to see what could be done to improve the high beam light output. He stated that I likely had aftermarket bulbs installed in my headlights (which was correct) and suggested that I install Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. They made some improvement, but as stated, still doesn't throw a huge amount of light way down the road on high beam. I likely need to check my headlight aim, as they may need to be brought up a bit.

After replacing my stock housings (with stock replacements...) I re-aimed my headlights, and it made a difference. Of course, new bulbs, lenses that weren't yellowed, and the heavy duty harness REALLY made a difference. I used the silverstar bulbs as well.

I've done all that you've mentioned with the exception of re-aiming the headlights. I've got a friend that runs a repair shop that has a high quality headlight aimer that's required for state inspection stations. I plan to go there and properly aim my truck's headlights as time permits soon.

I did mine in my driveway..... Whipped out the tape measure, and some duct tape, put the pattern on the garage door, and aimed the headlights there. Worked fairly well. Not as accurate as having the tools... but, they are rare, and very hard to find around here.
