aftermarket injectors for v10?
i don't know how many of you saw my thread about my 'rough idle', but basically it turned from rough idle into the truck not starting at all and even worse, i took it to dodge and they now figure that it's the injectors but they want $700/ea for the OEM injectors, i think that's a crock of ****. I know from aftermarket performance cars that you can get high flow saturated injectors for around $75/ea or less. low impedence are even less most times.
what are the specs on the v10 injectors? i notice that they use the standard OBD1 clips, and they look like they are top feed injectors. what are the flow rates on them though?
thanks in advance,
Brent

First off ... ALL the injectors are bad and need replacing???? BS!! Anyway ... I found Bosch injectors for $410 (for all 10 ... not each) without even trying: http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_SetsDODGE.asp
yea i found that too, but it doesn't list the specs / flow rates of the injectors.
i'm guessing its the entire passenger side bank.
the backstory is that the truck sat for 7 years with a garden hose in the gas tank (someone attempted to syphon fuel from the tank and when they were satisfied with the ammount they had pilfered they left the garden hose where it was) and it deteriorated, the previous owner tried to start the truck, pushing all that crud into the fuel system and causing mass havoc. the included service records i got when i bought the truck said that the fuel system was cleaned, the fuel tank was cleaned, the ecu replaced, the crank sensor replaced, the fuel filter replaced, the fuel pump replaced, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
basically i inhereted someones headache. but i'm mechanically adept and i plan to overcome this challenge.
i just need to know what the flow rates of the injectors are (what size are they? 240cc? 41lb/hr? etc)
they seem to be standard obd1 top feed injectors from all the pictures and documents i've seen/read, so i should be able to find injectors locally for much lower cost than buying them even in that set from fiveohmotors or whatever.

thats not bad, i use rockauto for reference a lot but i've never bought anything from them, are they good to deal with?
i'm more looking for the specs on the oem injectors than anything else, what size are they?

does that method involve removing the injectors from the fuel rail? if so i might as well replace them completely since i have to remove the intake manifold to get to them
i'd love to have it as easy as running methanol or something through there and cleaning the gunk out but i don't think it's going to be that simple.
