Default Transmission squeeking and poping in reverse!

for the past 2 days if I put my 95 Dodge Ram 1500 in reverse I can hear a popping noise and as I back up it squeeks like none other, in fact to let you know what the squeeking sounds like, it sounds like a couple going at it on an old metal bed, I know my friends didn't believe it untill they heard it.

What is going on!? I check the fluid while it was at running temp. and in nuetral like the dip stick says and it seems a tad low but not to bad.

Is my tranny going bad? Please help me!

My wife's '02 1500 Ram has made a little ticking/popping noise when reverse first engages for a while now. Kinda sounds like something isn't quite engaging right at first but then does. Probably wouldn't be the worst idea to take it in to a tranny shop to have them take an educated guess. That's what I plan to do as soon as my truck is done and we have a spare rig again...
