Default 2001 Ram battery dies overnight???

Hey everyone,
I am new here. Thought maybe someone here could help me with this problem. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500. My truck was doing fine with no problems. Then we just got a new Dodge Charger, so we started driving the truck a little less often, for now. But one day I came out and found there was absolutely no power in the truck at all. Nothing. I checked the battery and it was dead. So, thinking it was the battery went and bought the best one they had for that truck and put it in. Started right up and thought I was good to go. Came out next day, and dead as a door nail again. Absolutely nothing. I cannot figure out what would be draining the battery that fast.
Any sugesstions?
Thanks

do you have any other accessories in your truck that might be drawing power or an aftermarket headunit if it wasnt installed right it could be drawing power...

x2 I see this alot with amp's. Ppl will hook up the remote turn on lead to a constant 12v +, so the amp will stay on and drain the battery.

with the hood light unplugged and everything off and the door closed, take a DVOM and see if theres a current draw if there is, a quick way to find it is to unplug a fuse and see if it stops, if not, put the fuse back in and try another one. this only works like 90% of the time tho

See if the glovebox light remains on even with the door closed.

Good luck with your ride.

How colded has it been where you live? maybe you have cell going bad. Just a note when let a car or truck sit for 2 to 3 weeks maybe remove the IOD fuse, that shut off most your power.
