check oil pans and everything, nothing to lose by doing that. If when was the last time u have it serviced? or you your self serviced it?Or when was your last OIL change, and did u get a new oil filter?

Sometimes if you've removed the intake and used the rubber gaskets on the front and rear they blow out and will cause a leak.Usually on the back of the intake,it will run onto the top of the bell housing and is hard to see.I always throw those gaskets away and just put a nice bead of high temp permatex in those areas.

I do all the oil changes and it's only been about a month. There's some oil gunked on top of the tranny but I thought it was the tranny vent. Could that be running down the bell housing onto the top of the tranny? I'll go look again. Thanks for the suggestion. So you're saying I shouldn't be burning oil?

I have this problem right now and it is driving me bat**** [:@] This small leak that's coming from the back of the engine up top. I recently replaced the intake gaskets but opted to lightly coat the cork gaskets with sealant rather than running a bead of sealant as my machinist instructed me.

Just went out and looked under with the maglight and no oil anywhere. Looks brand new under everything. Bell Housing is clean and dry. No drips, runs, stains, nothing. I have to take it in again.

Did you try adding a little flourescnet dye to the oil?
It's the same stuff you use in a/c systems. The after running a bit use a black light and try to locate any leaks. At least that'll point to external leaks.

There a pan under the intake manifold that sucks engine oil into the throttle body and mixs with the fuel and goes out the tail pipe.

I had a replacement plenum kit(not from hughes) that cracked and was causing a plenum leak again its worth a check. Did you pull your plugs and look at them? if oil fouled you could be burning oil???
