Indy, have you tried a performance pulley set on your 96? I see them for only a few models but don't know if they let you really pick up anything or if they cause low charging issues, etc.

Clive, what motor do you have? Is that a 4x4 or 4x2? 5.2 should go with 50mm tb and a 5.9 best to get the 52mm.though 4x4 that tows maybe better with the 50mm as well. FASTMAN is what mostguys go with on the smaller tbs. (53mm and under) Ihad one on mine before my Hughes 55mm.

March 3pc alum pulleys were on my truck from 98 till I added the Prochargerat the end of 05.I underdrove the Procharger at firsttill I had a better tune.
Small performance gain from them gave better throttle response and my ets dropped a tenth.I like them for the look and added power but the gen light will come on as mentioned at stop lights. Usually only long lights at night or if heat/ac or stereo on as well.
With the 3pc set you get a smaller alt pulley so charging is better than just crank pulley only which under drives all accessories then. Newer model years you could only get 2pc cause of press on pulley on the alt.

Hughes is a good place to order from as is Summit.
KRC is very knowledgeable but extremely slow to ship outside the US and a bit pricey

PS. your baby looks real nice andis probably pretty rare in the UK
