Default side exit exhaust DONE, check out the pics!

its quieter than the previous setup at idle, but sounds a little quieter than open headers at wot.
Idk if you can tell from the pictures, but its true duals with an H pipe with the cat in the middle of it, so that I meet emmisions standards without disrupting the flow.

thats pretty sick looking. But i do have 1 question. you said that it has a h pipe and a cat in the middle to meet emmisions standards without disrupting the flow, but i dont see (could just be the pic) how the passanger side header flows through the cat. am i just missing it, or does it not flow through the cat and only the driver side flows through.

Love the look, possibly put up a sound clip for us to hear it? How much after you got finished did the project cost you?

i like it. the only complaint i would hav if it were my truck is i dont like being able to see the muffler while your standing a few feet from the truck. but it still looks sick.

i remember you said when it was open header it felt slow...... does it feel good now? haha..... good luck.

Wow, the cat in the h pipe! How did you know which way to install the O2 sensors? How is the PCM supposed to control the mixture with exhaust pulses resonating back and forth in the h pipe?
And...? And...? And...?
I have many more questions! Thanks for sharing the pics with us.

Looks awesome. I don't know how that's supposed to meet emissions standards though other than just having a cat on the truck to look at. lol

You may want to install the original upstream sensor in the bung on the header and plug the one the shop welded in. Do you have emissions testing where you live?

Both sides flow into it, so basicly, the cat does nothing except exist to say "it has cats" so no one gets in trouble. The passenger side flows into it the same way the drivers side does.

Ill get a video from the track tomorrow. It sounds sick, it reminds me of a pre emmisions big block. When all was said and done, the setup cost about 1k. $440 for the headers, $150 for the mufflers, $15 for gaskets?, $41 for header bolts, $20 for vodka, $5 for a BLT., and just under 500 for the rest of the exhaust.

I completely agree with the hanging muffler oppinion, I hate the way that looks, but thats the only way it could fit. Im going to try to make a box or cover for it to make it blend in better, thats the only negative comment iv gotten so far. otherwise, its skippy.

Yea its a WHOLE lot more powerful. I have a quarter mile marked out on a back road, and I normally hit it at what I trap at, 84-85 (sometimes slightly higher, 86) but today I did it, and I hit 90 even with the tires spinnin on take off! I dont believe that the headers and exhaust netted 4-6mph in the quarter, but Ill find out tomorrow for sure. I definately gaind quite a bit though. 60-90 is extreemly fast now. I cant wait for the M1, cam and pcm. I feel that will open up some serious cans of whoop ***.

and RM_INDY, if you read this, I cant find on your website where you list the gains from each mod you did. If you could shoot me the link, id be appricitiave. thanks.

Yea, the cat in the H pipe thing was a surprise to me, we agreed in a cat on each side, but since I was "so nice" to the exhaust people, they wanted to save me money. Unfortunately, the o2s dont do their job, nor does the cat (though I dont care if the cat does its job or not...) I would have had the sensors put in the header bungs, but the bungs were too large, and they capped them off because of that. Im going to go back and get them to put a bung in the center of the cat and ill put the post cat in there.

We do have emmissions testing, but its only ever been sniffed if there is a check engine light, so if I ever have a CEL when I go for testing, Ill erase it just before I go in line so it doesnt come on untill im out.
