Default Anybody Got BFG's?

Does anybody here have BFGoodrich tires? I've heard that their pretty good tires and you can put a lot of miles on them. I just wanted to see what you guys thought of them. I am currently in need of new tires and considering the BFG Long Trails. I never really go mudding in my pickup ( my four-wheeler is a hell of a lot cheaper to tear up ), but the roads do get pretty bad around here when it comes a good rain so AT's are an essential. I am also going back to the stock size tire for my truck ( 225 ) since it will only make the truck sit like and inch or two lower. Plus my speedometer and odometer will start reading accurately again. Mabye I'll get a little get up and go back too.

I got the BFG A/T's and I love em'. They aren't too loud at all on the highway and they ride great offroad. I'd recommend em' as a not too expensive midrange on/off road tire.. So, thumbs up from me. [sm=goodidea.gif]

Have a good one,

for the price i'd go with some firestone destination at's, or bridgestone dueler at revo's...they'll last alot longer and the destinations have a more aggressive tread design

I have BFG All Terrain T/A KO's on my truck right now and they will be my LAST set of BFG tires. I've only had the truck for 4 months/2,500 miles and the tread is already showing major wear and tear. If I had a receipt from when the tires were new I'd be back there getting a refund. For the price of a new set of BFG's I'd be getting a set of Dunlop Mud Rovers AND a set of Continental tires with a highway/touring tread pattern

i had a set of a/t's, they were good in the snow, so-so in the mud (good for an A/T) but mileage wasn't so good...got 50km (35,000 mi) on them and they were baloney skins, but I am pretty hard on tires. They started to seperate right at the end of their life, but I was told (by a tire dealer) that he had a lot come back on warranty, may have been a bad batch though. They stood up to rock abrations and whatnot quite well, although up here (pretty far north, 300km of shale/gravel to get here) they plug up and throw a lot of rocks and result in flats (mud tires and bald tires are all that live a long life though).

no lift required on a 4x4, you might get some SLIGHT rubbing on a full turn and bump, but i never had any problems. Check your rim width; i think the 285's are recommended for 7.5-9.0" rims, i had 7's, they didn't really wear in the center badly at all, but i think some (may have only been the 2500+) came with 6.5" rims, might cause some more problems.
