blown brake line?
Ok i start my truck up...brake goes right to thw floor..i see a mist of brake fluid spewing out the right front wheel well...go to look..it looks like it is coming from the fitting where the steel line meets the rubber line...now which would i have to replace the rubber hose or steel line??thanks
couldnt teel u without seeing it but the steel lines are famous for blowing out on the trucks once u see rust on them its only a matter of time before they start to leak and u have no pedal again. maybe have some sit in the truck and push the pedal while u look at the lines with the tire off it should be pretty easy to find witch end it is.
If it is the steel line they're cheap to replace, I got 25' of steel line, two new 36" stainless steel lines (rubber is much cheaper) and all the adapters (which you wouldn't need if you went with stock rubber) for like $86 for my Jeep.
nope from what i been told its a diverter tube or valve..that runs from the left caliper to the right caliper, it runs underthe front crossmember and dosent connect to the master cylinder at all..i never heard of this before...if anyone knows can they please expain what this line is called and its function please..thanks
