Default A/C Problem...

AC works great when it works... Pulling a hill it will stop blowing air and when i level off and the RPMS drop ill hear a loud POP noise and the air will come out again. When I stop and come to an idle behind the dash ill hear water swishing around back there... any ideas? I had a squeeky blower motor back in the heater weather days so i took out the blower motor and lithium greashed inside and a little L shaped hose about 5" fell out and i cant find where it goes back at...

Comments on any of this?!?

Could the L shaped hose be your drain? Does your evap drain out (on the ground) when you use the AC on a hot day? Floor area ever get wet? Air is always cold? Going out on alimb here, but maybe she isn't draining and that is the swishing sound - water (condensation) in the HVAC box. Going out on a bigger limb, don't know, but here is a guess:
Condesation builds in the HVAC box because it is not draining. When you accelerate the water shifts and the blend door moves, making the pooping sound. When you stop, the water shifts and makes a swishing sound. Maybe???

You may have a couple of separate problems.
1. The L shaped hose is the cooler line for your blower. There is a hole in the side of the motor and another in the housing. Reinstall this because without it the motor will overheat and burn up.
2. Sloshing. Might just be that the condensate drain is clogged. (here we go again ) Ream out the drain line from the engine compartment with a pencil or stiff wire. It is on the right side down low on the firewall, just a little 1/2" nipple sticking out.
3. Pooping. Wear rubber gloves and stand well back while performing #2 above. (just kidding, but that was too easy)
4. Popping. May be a vacuum (losss) related problem in the mode door, not the blend door as that one is electric. However, it may also be caused by the sloshing water as United1 states.
I think the condensation problem has been at work here for some time and may be what caused the squeal in the blower motor.

Sounds like your A/C system is loosing vacuum when you accelerate. Do you have 4X4? Have you had any vacuum lines pulled off? Mine does that but it was vandalized by having the 4X4 vacuum lines pulled off and I haven't taken the time to repair them yet so I have a manifold leak!

All vacuum operated systems are designed to revert to defrost mode if they loose vacuum. It will still blow cold, but out the defrost vents! If all your vacuum lines are intact you can get yourself a vacuum amplifier/reservoir and put it in-line on your heater/A/C control line. It will have a one-way valve in it so you will retain vacuum to your system while your engine is operating under low vacuum (open throttle).

Mine also had a sloshing sound when I accelerated and I found it was low on coolant. If your coolant is full, try the drain clean tip!
