Default Steering Knuckles

So i bought my ram about a year and a half ago and when i got it it had no upper caliper bolt (threads were stripped) put a helicoil in it well that didnt work so i guess i have to replace it anyone got a used stock left hand steering knuckle for a 98 1500 four wheel drive or no where i could get one anyone ever have this problem

Helicoil should work. Are you sure they used the right size?

yeah its the right side not drilled straight i think anyways the knuckle is shot unless anyone has any other ideas

junk yard...helicoil (but u sed that dident work) only other thing is to weld it up and drill/tap it agan may be kinda tricky and a PITA

yeah screw welding it and ive tried every junk yard within 50 miles of me with no luck any suggestions on a good junk yard

i know there is a cupple good ones here but im in bc canada, dont think itll help u out too much,

i dont even know whats a new one worth, maby worth having a shop look at or maby if you have a buddy at a mechine shop he may know a truck or 2 to get the helicoil in there?

try www.car-part.com i don't know if they have a specific search for the knuckle, but it is a good resource and a lot of places will ship too.

edit: they do have a steering knuckle search option.
