Well this thread is going to progress as I rebuild the engine for my Indy Ram. I plan on putting all new parts in it, all new seals, bearings, crank, rods, pistons, heads, rockers, etc. etc. etc. I also plan on doing forced induction, no not supercharged but turbo charged. I happen to have a Garrett Turbo that needs to be rebuilt which I am in the process of doing only thing is I don't know if it's big enough to supply any noticeable power to my engine.
Here are pics, you guys tell me.

Looks kinda small, whats it off of? Or is it a universal type thing with no real application?
It'll spool up quick though, so decent off the line, any idea how much boost it can put out?

Twin would be bad *** but you'd have to talk to RM_Indy or call up the Hughes and see how much boost they can handle and such. I have no idea honestly.

AR48 is popular with the 1.6-1.8L civics andIve seen them on ebaywhere the seller rated themfor up to 350hp and 27psi boost. On a 5.9 you would have to have 2 of them. On a built motor would probably restrict hp beyond 5k rpms I suspect but should spool up fast. Id do more research to find out for sure.

If those are from a silvia, they are gt-25(s). At the boost pressure you are talking about, those should do the job well with very, very quick spool up. The gt-25 series is used on engines usually smaller than 3 liters, hence it coming off of a 2 liter nissan motor. I with the internal engine work you are doing, 5psi is not even going to begin to hurt your engine.Getting up intomid-teens in boost pressure might make mestart to worry about the block though.Good luck and keep us informed!
