Yeah have to agree with the last post. If you use an open element airfilter, like an Old School hot rod, you will get the best under hood responce. As well as the great sound when you accelerate!
But if your in California, from what I have read, thats a no go. You have to use a C.A.R.B approved after market set up. And from what I have read, only K&N and Airaid are the only manufactures out there that have that approval.

5.9 won't make a difference
You don't touch the pcv hose; that hose goes into the intake manifold, not the air cleaner. It's the other hose that gets replaced with a breather (the clean air side). Just remove that hose and knuckleand stick a 1" breather into the valve cover.

yes you were right about the pcv valve hose going into the intake as well as the brake hose on the drivers side, however there is a hose going into the air cleaner housing that goes to the valve cover on the passengers side, is this the one that you said put a breather on?
one question that hose that goes into the air cleaner housing is filtered air, by puting a breather on it the air wouldnt be, or would it with the right breather?
THANK YOU
