Default My shiny new differential cover

Don't know how much longer this warm weather is going to hold out, so I figured I'd change all my fluids today. Since I had to take the cover off anyway seemed like a perfect time to put the new one on

Isn't it shiny...

It's chrome
It off this site, didn't get one for the front yet. Haven't decided If I'm going to or not.

Not the best diff. cover out there, but the price is right. Probably won't be shiny forever, but all it has to do is make it through the winter. I'll putsome Dana60s under than thing come warm weather next spring.
and I'm going to get the diff guards for them from this site...

I was gonna get the Red diff. protector to match the truck. The sites just called purplecranium.com
I would never put purple on my truck

I'm not that big on chrome myself but I wanted to change the oil out of it anyway, and I wanted something different and that one was inexpensive, but it's growing on me. Wish I would have got some new stainless steal bolts though. I always rember the best stuff after I'm already half way through doing what i'm doing.

One ? Why chrome? Holdsa ton of heat and heat breaks fluids down. Something you dont want in an axle.

It is purdy, looks good with the black bolts(even better with some black allens)

Ever thought about the deep pan aluminum cover?

I think I'd just break an aluminum cover. Honstly I'd probably break this one too if I kept it for long enough. But like I said, I plan on having new axels on there within the next 6 months.
Wanted to see how it looked before I bought 2 of them

Thanks Pa, but I'll probably just leave the ones that are on there on there. I'll let ya know if I change my mind though.
