Yeah, it's retarded. I don't ever do "burnouts". I dont do them intentionally. The truck just does it on its own when I am racing because it has so much power and the gearing is right for the 35" tires. I agree completely with you though CerealKiller, burnouts cause tremendous damage, especially if you arent the type to keep on **** maintance wise. Anyways, howcome you guys (bouncer and indyram) are so puzzle as to why my truck can squeel the tires with 35" tires? Even if it is just the 4.10 gearing, that still is plently for 35" tires, right?

burnouts do 0 damage except to your tires. Once you break traction, there is as much , if not less, stress on your driveline as if you were driving down the road at whatever rpm your turning.

Yeah, if you are going in a straight line, then I'm sure it's not too too bad. But most people burning out are doing donuts on dry pavement, which is so much wear and tear on every suspension component and the transmission, just isnt a good sight.

really, it only is an issue with fwd vehicles (cv axles) , or independant rear rwd vehicles that have porly designed axles (lincoln mark 8, cougars, t birds, not so much cobras as they have a redesigned axle that handles power much better) Suspension takes as much abuse as is being thrown at it, so if your taking a corner as hard doing a dougnut as when your going 50, then you are still using an equal ammount of force as in regular driving. Then again, it is still more of an issue when its under load, rather than the almost free spin you get with a burnout.

dude. why do people put tail lights and thermostats in their signatures? sad.u might as well put your chrome gas gas in there too.

do real work to your truck. "gutting" a catylitic converter is useless. theres no real power in that kind of mindless modification. cam. heads. hell even bolt ons are golden. but replacing something that controls the coolant flow throughout your engine...[sm=boosign.gif]also, all this talk about spinning tires... are u serious? that was not a traction problem at all in the video. your spin was minimal. do you have limited slip? probably..

Step one: get better at launching
Step two: buy new tires.

[sm=americanasmiley.gif]AMERICA! **** YEAH!

Alright chevy guy, because I have a 180* t-stat in my sig I don't know how to do real work? I garauntee I know as much if not more in the way of cars and I can actually put it all together with my hands and do it right, WE are proud of OUR vehicles and the modifications WE do (t-stat, tail lights, etc) because they are OUR vehicles, they are OUR passion, what WE want to do and what WE want to tell people (signatures) is what WE want to do, not YOU, but what WE want to do, now take your chevy and leave.

im not being against Dodge guys. im being against retards who put useless crap in their cars that think it makes it faster. thats dumb. its ok though, you or anyone else can be cured. all it takes is experience and having someone help you out. u gotta crawl before you walk. i think its the new generation that displays this phenomenon the most. kids that are trying to go from the xbox forum to the car forum. lack of what they are doing really shows best in signatures and questions. in my really ****ed up kinda way im trying to help. i love the IECers. intake, exhaust, chip. thats all "they" do. some kind of air intake, which is good but its not going to give u big seat of the pants differences. exhaust is great too, but don't claim to gain one second off quarter miles times because you had a shop install better mufflers. please. chip is also good, but again its not a cam or head swap. but even below the IECers are the headlight/thermostat crew. WOW. its just mind boggling. i can see doing that to your truck, even though those gaudy headlights/tail lights are retarded, but to lista THERMOSTATas a performance modification?!?!?!? some one needs to help these guys out.

O yeah, and saying that you know as much if not more about cars then me obviously is a defense mechanism because you don't know me or what i know. i seriously doubt that assumption, but nonetheless, its not something that can really be proven online, so im going to let you go and save you the embarrasmenton that one.
