same here and i didnt understand how that welds to a round tube. oh well. i went out and got a piece of round steel tube from ace hardware and welded that on instead for a more sturdy fit.

 

That makes since but since the square piece only sees torque and no real compression or tension the little surface area for a weld is apparently enough.

 

id rather have the extra support and have it stay then have it accidently brake on me with the little welds.

 

So I noticed a little issue this morning. When I turned on my air (any setting), it would only blow out the defrost. I'm guessing i've lost vacuum somewhere. It wasn't like that when I first brought it home after the BL install. Any chance that swapping out that brake booster hose with a longer one has caused some vacuum issue? I'll also look at all the vacuum hoses to see if maybe they are now touching something hot, and got a hole in one, but when I was looking the other night at everything, I thought things looked fine.

 

put the old one back on and see ..ill take pics under my hood and then we can compare notes. And i still have no idea what the other guys are talking about with welding , hope its not the steering...

 

That looks fantastic buddy! Can't wait to see the 35" tires on there, you are going to love the way they look, just makes the truck look so damn tough!

Silver, I've replaced the booster hose with longer, but make sure it's 11/32" or 3/8" hose. I also recall there being a hose clamp on that one at the intake manifold.

Here's all the places I can think of for vac leaks:

There's the Brake booster, the PCV, the fresh air intake on the other side, one near the battery, and the accessory bracket that goes into the passengerside intake manifold (there's a metal nipple sticking out of the intake manifold for this one). IIRC ithas3 accessories on the first bracket, a cap at the top,andbranch that leads to another 2 near the PCM.

 

That looks AMAZING. I love it. I think all that truck needs is a nice shiny exhaust tip! ALSO, really like the Dodge stripe detail on your truck, really gives it a nice look on a silver truck... How about some smoked tail lights on that beast 'eh???

Anyways, I want to know what my lift is. I run the same size tires that you are now, and it's big like yours, but I still just don't know what it is.. Ill post pix tomorrow, and maybe you can tell me what you think?
