If you google the words "Cracked dash Dodge" you come up with 489,000 hits. I have found the topic of "Cracked Dodge Dash" is not only the "hot topic" on Dodges own forum but many others.



Also, it makes zero sense to me that some people have been helped and others denied for the exact same problem. It sounds to me like they might fix 2 per month with a co-pay and everyone else...tough luck.
It's like the lottery.

Stuff like this was posted on here before it didn't go over too well. My dash is cracked and it pisses me off but I don't see where your dash being cracked would have anything to do with airbags going off

 

Not spam....I have posted before about this. The wiring for your airbags in under your dash. Do you really feel comfortable knowing that?

Also, if your in an accident do you really want sharp pieces of your dash flying around your head?

The biggest reason I'm upset is they they refuse to acknoweledge that there's even a problem with the plastic

 

Why not at the very least have someone from Dodge come on here and address the issue?

 

Never heard of anyone dying or an air bag going off because of a cracked dash. Sounds like a bunch of horse sqeeze to me. Any belief that it is going to hurt someone is just insane.

 

beings the airbag comes out of the steering wheel and the fact that a couple cracks in my dash won't hurt wiring not I'm not worried about plastic flying everywhere.


I think the Dodge Tranny and track bar issues are more important.

BTW I'm a firefighterso I know what airbags can do. Also how dashes react to an accident I've never seen one "shatter"

Does everyone here work for Dodge? I've never seen so many jump to the defense of a company before. I'm going to guess Dodge has hired some of you to stick up for them
