**Trackbar problem(UPDATED W/ Pix)
5" lift a good lift comes with everything you need to do it ,range from 1100-1600 depends what other goodies you want.. thats parts alone ...labor $$$$ ..either way you look at it not gonna be easy on the wallet just the trac bar , pitman arm theres 500 .. wait a min just seen what pc said ..(800 with a 4" lift + trac bar .including labor ? thats a hell of a deal..
Sorry guys, but I am getting a little confused here. What 4" lift costs $800? Also, I don't get what you are trying to say about the 3 different threads. I made three different threads because firstly they all went dead, and secondly, everyday I am getting more information from Thuren and Skyjacker, and new information from my mechanic. So sometimes it's a lot easier to just start with a fresh slate with new information. I've also gotten the most information out of this particular 3rd thread because I had more facts this time, and padodgram and silver have been helping me get through it. I guess I'm still a little confused though. I don't want to buy a new lift kit, that sounds silly to me. The truck is already lifted and it rides great. It just is missing a few components here that can be tackld individually. I couldnt never really afford something over a $1000 at once. I just can't operate that way lol. The mechanics who look at the truck never have questioned the integrity of the lift itself, they have just quesitoned some of the suspension components that were never addressed when the truck was lifted. Since we've concluded that it's a 5-6" lift on this truck, I am going to go through Thuren to get his trackbar. I'm also going to buy the pitarm as PAdodge indicated (Thuren also said it's a must to get when getting then 5"+ trackbar). Anything else you guys think I should be looking for or should know??

1. Thread dont really go dead. Find the thread and when you post it bumps it back up to the top. You also leave out the the background information that was already contributed.
2. (see bolded) I was under the impression that your mechanic said "the fact that the old track bar is working means its a 3" lift" or somethign to that extent. (I will find if necessary) Silver suggests otherwise (which I would go with him I think.)
3.There are a lot of variables here on guessing on what you have and do not. padodgeram has laid it out for you (trac bar , control arms , pitman arm , swaybar bracket , new shocks , then align.... you will have an easy grand in the susp.. ) vs. the cost of a new lift with most if not all the parts.
My suggestion, .... your 17, wait until your birthday and do it right!
Cool, thanks for setting me straight. I wasnt 100% sure about the coil or the spacer for the off road package so I figured if I thru it out there, someone would set the record straight.
I don't know where your coming from pcfixerpro, are you pissed at me for not referring to you? Forgive me If i'm reading you wrong, either way you've been a big help to me as well. I'm not trying to be mean, I just don't know what you mean by leaving background information out that was already contributed. It was a long day today, sorry. I dont know fellas, nobody seems to think I need all of that other stuff right away. The mechanic putting in my trackbar was even under the impression I didn't need the pitarm. I'm going to do that anyways though. I told him that when we put in the trackbar, for him to see what else he feels strongly about once the trackbar and pitarm are in. I bought this truck reasonably cheap though, and I'm lucky it came with the lift and 35" tires, I dont know about you guys, but I think it'd be a little foolish to take off what came with it. I would much rather bit by bit replace the parts that need to be replaced than start all over, and take off an already exisiting lift that operates just fine ya know? I understand what PA has layed out for me. And I am cool with that, I just get a little taken a back when some of you guys think I should buy another lift. I already have one ya know? Once again, I want to thank you guys ALL for helping me out here. You guys obviously know your stuff. You guys are going to make the differance for me of being ripped off to getting a good deal. Sorry if I confused anybody the different threads, I just felt it'd be easier to make new ones since I was getting new information everyday. Someitmes if you jump back into an old thread, not everybody catches on to the entire scoop, so I like to kind of get everybody on the same page. Thanks again fellas!
All I was trying to say is that when you have a collection of things. For example. the "FIPK's no more" thead. There have been post after post after post... the point is that everyone contributes and if you make new threads and just move to anotherone, that information is lost. By keeping one thread, people can read the progressions of what we know and what we dont know. kinda like reading a book, you dont want to start in the middle of something. you start from the beginning and continue until your done (or until you lose interest..
).
Now... back to the topic at hand.

just fix what needs fix.. just rember any thing after 3" lift really putting stress on things using stock parts... really if you go here http://www.topguncustomz.com/ you can get a drop bracket for the track bar.
Well I just got off the phone with Thuren Fabrication again, and he is still under the impression his 0-3" trackbar is going to be more than adaquate for the truck. He had me measure from the flat part of the axle to an oval shaped rubber stopper. I came to 7 inches. So he said I have about a 3" lift or so. He says the fact that the stock trackbar on my track is even functioning right now without a bracket means his is going to work because it will offer more flexibility and durablity. Now I remember Silver mentioning that he thinks I should go with the 5"+. What's your guys' opinions?

To make things easier, I am going to add direct links to the Tuff Country drop brackets at the same site suggested by padodgeram.
2-3" lift
4-6" lift
It looks like you would have to choose between these two as the others are adjustable. There is a 2500 drop bracket which I am not sure if you can use or not in addition to these
