Unless I'm mistaken - a 46rh is an automatic trans and what you need replaced is the flexplate. On my All-Data the labor is listed for 4.5 hours (with extra time of 0.7 for skid plate and 0.5 for dual exhaust - if applicable). The flex plate is listed for $38.60 (OEM part # is 53008669). Figuring about $50 to install flex plate to flywheel - just needs heated and put on) this would leave (at the highest total labor of 5.7 hours) about $750 in labor which figures out to $133 per hour flat rate. Man - I need to work at that shop.

The dealer wanted like $482.00 for a new flywheel so I am guessing that was included in their $1200.00 estimate. Not sure though, but it seems thats the case. Still, even $750.00 is outta my range-yes its crazy!!! I have the ring gear purchased and someone willing to put on the existing flyweel for $40.00. Now I just have to find some good instructions for sliding the tranny back to get to the dang thing.
