Severe gear whine...

it kinda sucks when you think about it...i have open front/rear...so technically i have a 2wd...but i think the stock gears had the lsd. can you use the lsd when you change the gears to 4.10? or do you hae to get a different one? maybe thats why mines an open, becuse i thought they all came stock with LSD
Unless the LSD is what blew, then when he changed the rear end he just got the 4.10s and didnt get the LSD

Once the pinon is lose it will chew up gears it is very visual if you remove the cover...
The wine can also be attributed to bad ujoints a metallic grinding sound...
I am currently in the process of doing something I do not recommend to anyone myself slapping a dana 70 3/4 ton from a 2500 into a 1500 shocks lineup nice but the plates on the axle that mount to the leafs are too wide and about 2 inches off ... gotta love it!!! shoulda coulda woulda stuck with half ton but this sucker is all rebuilt with posi gears and new break hardware just waiting for a truck to sit under... Life sucks have a TransAm from 82 and two 86 camaros and a 2006 ford fusion that all need work as well...
Life is good 5 vehicles none are functioning correctly
