Default My cam swap thread :: UPDATE:: IT RUNS!!!

Today I finally have all of my parts figgured out for the cam swap(with one exception), and I started ordering. Over the next month or so, Ill post in here to highlight my progress on the swap. Its going to be a nice big project, as all of the steps I havent done before (except for pulling heads and the valve train once before). As for the parts I will be ordering:

-Cam, Comp Cams 20-745-9 (http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku)
-Studs, Crane cams 36655-16 (http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku)
-Roller Rockers, Harland Sharp 1.6 (chevy) (http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku)
-Springs, Mopar P5249464 (http://www.sdparts.com/product/P5249...lveSpring.aspx)
-Lifters, Mopar P5249862 (http://www.sdparts.com/product/P5249...Tappets16.aspx)
-Pushrods, Comp Cam 7632-16 (6.8" ford pushrods) (http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku)
-Motive 4.10 gears
-Posi rebuild kit (rebuilding it myself)
-B&G custom flash
-47re clutchpacks
-Transgo shift kit template
Stall converter is still up in the air.

But thats the list, some parts are christmas presants, most arent. Ill post up as I go along. It should be quite a jump. Come spring time Ill also be investing in a set of steel wheels and Sportsmans. I may be shooting a little high, but I would like to jump right to 14.0s possibly 13.9s. Im not really expecting more than 14.5s but my pie in the sky hopes are 14.0s, 13.9s.

nope. they work with 3/8" studs. The factory stamped rockers use a 5/16th bolt, so it limits you in the ammount of rockers you can use; by going with the 5/16 to 3/8 studs it allows more rocker options. The price of the kit alone is worth the diffrence in price of rockers.
