1999 Dodge Ram Tire Size
Hello,
I have a Yellow 1999 Ram 1500 Reg Cab 4x4 with a 360, I have the stock wheels and tires on the Ram still. They are 265/75R16 and I want to go bigger without a lift kit.
Can someone tell me what size I can go to.?
I would like to go taller and wider.
Thank You drider98

I put 285/75/r16s A/T DUELLERS on my '94 ram with the stock rims and they rubbed a little on the lower torsion bar when turning all the way until steering lock, other than that they did fine! I wouldn't go any bigger without a wider backspaced wheel
When I bought my 98 4X4, I had 305/70/r16's...they were a little big, and I did rub when I cut the wheels hard, but I figure I should be able to run 33 295/75/r16's without a lift, and I'm running 275's right now with no problems at all...so at the least, 285', but you might be able to get away with 295's, if it's a 4 by
You can definitely put 285/75/16's on it. I have BFG KO T/A's on mine and they rub a little when I cut the wheel all the way, but not enough that I've felt any sense of compulsion to get wheel spacers or lift it. I'm in a '97 1500 4x4. If you're running a similar vehicle you should be fine. Not sure about 295's. Haven't seen them in action on a stock Ram.
That's been my big complaint with the overall appearance of the 2nd gen Rams. There's so much room under the fender wells that the vehicles almost look disproportionate. A 33" tire fills it out nice. If you go with the 33" tires, let us know how they work out for you.
I put up a couple pics of my truck with new tires on it.

I bought a used 1999 Ram 2500 5.9L diesel 2wd... I would like to know the stock tire size that came on this truck.... I tried looking for the sticker in the door jam but someone painted over it.
Thanks
Thanks
Dude 9 year old thread.... its on the inside of your driver door, on that little details sticker. That or email dodge for a build sheet.
Welcome to DF! Google is your friend. Go to discounttire.com, put in your make/make/model, it will tell you what the stock tire size is, which I found out to be: 245/75-16
