So I go to leave for work this morning around 8:30 and I walk out to the parking lot and to my surprise my truck is not where I parked it. So I call my roomate to ask if he is playing a prank on me and it turns out that my truck has been STOLEN!!!!!!
I can't believe it! I live in a gated apartment complex in a descent neighborhood and there is nothing special about my truck yet someone decides to take mine when there are4 other Dodge Rams in the same area of the parking lot, all the other Rams had lift kits or bigger rims and all that stuff so I was just wondering why they chose mine?
Any ways if you live in the Houston Area can you all please keep an Eye out for my truck to see if maybe it was abandoned in a parking lot or something.

1998 Ram 1500 Quad Cab
Deep Amethyst Pearl (Blue/Purple)
Cracked windshield
American Flag Sticker on rear window (passenger side)
Big scratch on the rear driver side quarter panel
Big scratch on the front bumper from a hit & run
and one other distinguishing feature is that it has a really loud exhaust system (flowmaster super 40 DF dumped)

There are not to many Dodges in the area with this color so it should be easy to spot, so if anyone see's it please call me or the police.

I just got a call 10 minutes ago and they found my truck!!!!!!!
What a relief it is to know that I can have it back again.

Yeah I filed a police report so hopefully that will help, I'm hoping the person who stole it is cheap because there was only enough gas to get him about 60 miles so hopefully it's still in town.
Also how hard are the Rams to slim jim because There was no broken glass where I was parked?

 

easy if you know how too do it. also they can pound a wedge in the door seam and pull up the the door handle with a rod that has hook on the end, that what i do when i lock myself out

 

Wow that totaly sucks dude. i realy hope you track them down. Id check any penny savers for someone parting out a dodge. Ive had friends whos cars have been stolen and theyve all been striped and parted. I go to school in boston. Car thief capital of the world. Good luck.

 

if you have a sliding back glass i've broken into my old one like that on numerous occasions(it liked to auto lock the doors whenever it felt like it and half the time i was outside of the truck for some odd reason).

Well i got a story for you so you don't feel so bad. I have a friend who is a hardcore chevy fan and he had an 03 chevy 1500 one day coming home he kinda slipped and nodded off to sleep for a sec and then jolted back awake swerved to avoid the mailbox he was about to hit flipped the truck and slammed it b/t two trees. That week he goes out with insurance check and buys an 02 ram hemi within 12hrs of driving it he allows his buddy to drive it, buddy thinks he can floor it through a turn and sure enough he can and slams the beauty into two trees wrapping it around one. Now trying to avoid being dropped by his insurance he goes and buys a 04 silverado with gorgeous rims single cab with the 5.3 vortec. Well he goes to his gfs house and leaves it in the driveway comes out the next morning and its gone. Heh this all transpired in less than a week. As for police reports don't waist your time except for insurance. Cops could care less about stolen cars until they are pulling you over.

 

i know how you feel. i only had my ram 1 month and the bastards stole mine out from in front of my house at 12:30 at night. tried to chase them in my wifes car but i lost them. street swiper (traffic control) found it a week later. 800 miles on it, punched ignition, pried te driver door handle out and stole the stereo. other than that it was still in great condition. good luck to ya.
