Got some damn downtime before next monday until I get these suckers on, so I wanted to show some pix of the headers and y-pipe. My brothers headers came in today as well. His are the Doug Thorley Tri-Y Long Tube Headers. There quite a bit more of a classy product, but for some reason they do not look as nice lol. Either way, both these headers are kickass, and we cant wait to have them incorporated into our beasty trucks and our exisiting exhaust systems. Heres the pix!

On another side not though guys, I'm a little concerned with the y-pipe. It doesn't look like it's correct. It's very difficult to set-up and it's not as staight forward as it is in the pictures that I bought from. It's very turny, is it supposed to be like that? Where the collector is on the y-pipe, it has to be like on its side to get the part to fit in, I figured that part would be level with the ground and be a straight forward y right?

FINALLY! The Y has to account for clearance issues in the underside of the truck, so it will bend and curve. Dont worry about that. Did you decide to do it yourself, or still take it to a shop?

 

Well the rug is an exspensive oriental, so its a sure 10 h/p undoubtedly.


But, as for me putting them in...check it. I'm going to give it a whirl this weekened. And if I'm having trouble, I have the appointment for Monday incase. So either way, its a win win situation guys! Cannot wait, been waiting so long for these suckers!

 

Man those look nice. They're quite a bit longer than I thought they would be, but they are long tubes so that's why. They should really look awesome under the hood and just provide some very noticeable hp. Oh, and they should sound awesome too. Now I need some for sure

 

The way you have those sitting there on your rug, put a glass top on it, and that would be a kick *** looking coffee table.
