Just forget it, I refuse to get into another silly argument over "trucks" again. PA, once again, you are out of line. There is no reason why you should take it upon yourself to target me, and say that I'm lying about trying out all three of these mufflers, or to question my knowledge of exhaust. You have no idea what I've done before, nor do you know me at all besides this forum. Your assumption is just as factual as your hunch that I'm lying about knowing what the three seperate mufflers sound like. Now, if your ready to be an adult and stop targeting me for some odd reason, then move on, and stick to the thread, instead of trynig to call me out and attempt to make me look stupid in front of our fellow ram owners on the forum. To me, it looks silly that your trying to call out one of your own kind, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop referring to me negatively. I dont ever treat you badly, I expect the same treatment back, or atleast a neautral position from you, period.

Does anyone have any Super 40 sound clips on a 5.2 dodge ram?

We found plenty of Original 40s and super 44 videos, but couldn't come up with many Super 40 videos. Even on youtube and photobucket.

I mean the only way to actually make an informed opinion is to hear all of them and see what you like better.

Also if anyone has any videos of dodge rams (5.2 or 5.9) with the cherry bomb extreme mufflers I would like to hear them myself, as I think I may try one of those instead when I redo my exhaust. Thanks all.

I found out about a week ago that the previous owner of my truck put a original 40 on my truck. Its a si/so and only has about a foot, maybe 2 feet worth of pipe after the muffler which I plan on finishing when I get my next paycheck. This is my first truck and the original 40 is the only mufler I've had and heard in person and in my opinion, its a good sounding muffler. It may not be the loudest but its a nice sounding muffler with a good tone to it. I imagine that once I finish it with a 3 or 3 1/2 inch tip, it'll sound a little better. When I went and talked to the exhaust guy in town I know, I asked him about the differences in mufflers and I told me that if I wanted to upgrade from the org 40 to something louder and deeper sounding, to go with the super 40 and not the super 44. If I remember right, he said that the super 44 was actually made for themustang because the super 40 is too tall to fit underneath the mustang. So by making the super 44 a little slimer, it could be usedon more "sports" cars. Now thats his opinion on that stuff and he's been working on exhaust systems for about 13 years i think he said, maybe more but I don't have a opinion on which one of the 3 is better because I've only heard 1 in person so far. I have heard video clips of the super 44 and it does sound pretty mean but I'm not really going to worry about picking a new muffler out for my truck yet because its about a go home and sit for two years while I'm out of the country.

exctly, the super 44 is made more for cars than trucks. the super 40 is slightly bigger and is made for a truck.

I have a super 40 on my 318 truck. I'll be sending padodgeram a vid clip so he can hear it. Maybe he can post it up somewhere so others can hear it too.

I am not sure if you have decided yet or if this will even help but here is a link to the Flowmaster website defining each muffler except the "original 40" for some reason. If you look at their sound charts they say both have pretty much the same tone. I have heard from a few people though that the Super 44 does give alittle better hp/tq, BUT THAT IS JUST WHAT I HAVE HEARD, I in now way really can honestly back that up. I am in a huge debate though between the 40 and 44, but think I am going 40 because everyone around here stocks it and no one has the 44.
