Okay, just checked... Nothing between the A/C condenser and radiator, and the receiver says Reese, so I guess not. Crap![:@] Guess that means that I have to install one...
I love doing things that I have no clue about...
Also: Would the factory mounting spot be good for aftermarket? I thought about getting one of those frame mounted ones, but then it is exposed to dirt and crap.

Don't confuse the "Trailer TOW Package" AKA Heavy duty Service Group, with the "Trailer Towing Prep Group". In 2001, The latter only consisted of the hitch, HD flasher, and 7 point elec. connector. The Tow Package/Servic Group consisted of the HD generator, HD cooling, and HD trans. cooler as well as t'fer case skid plate on 4X4. This was standard equip. on the 2500/3500.

There are the clips. Just remember with the cooler, bigger is NOT better. If you get too big, the transmission will not operate at its correct temperature and is not good for it. This was told to me by a transmission guy who is a hell of a mechanic and has been doing it for 40+ years.

U-Haul sells and installs trans coolers. They are pretty cheap compared to most and they have a lifetime warranty if installed there. If you just buy over the counter, it comes with attachments that will allow you to place it in thefactory installed location. It also comes with pretty good and detailed instructions for installation. its relatively simple. It takes roughly two hrs.
