Just got the results for the diag on my tranny.
looks like its time to just bite the bullet and get it rebuilt. I got a quote for $2250. he itemized it all but ultimately... i am out $2250.
I was going to see if I can get him to throw in an addition tranny cooler.

I hate this money pit truck.

I would look into buying a good rebuild kit and having them install it. Here's the one I'm looking at getting (about half way down the page):

Yea there gonna laugh at you, there gonna say if you bought it, you install it. Garages make more money off parts than labor

 

That's when you find a motorhead friend and DIY...me and my brother are gonna do mine.

 

Thats not a bad price , years ago parts cost more then labor , now labor cost more then parts.. when we rebuild dodge trans we stick in a shift kit...i dont know why they would laugh at putting a shift kit in , hell the trans is already apart.

 

Some places around me are like that, If you bought your own parts, go F*ck yourself and DIY

How much would it costo to just buy a better aftermarket tranny? If not much more, seems like it would be more worth it...

 

Holy mother of god, 2800$$$$$$, you could have bought a 5 speed and had someone install it for that price
