Thanks Silver. Just the kind of shot I was looking for. Do you have any idea how long those were on before that happened or what type of weather, like high salt area?

92GreenYJ, what kind of weather or use did yours go through for the year you've had them in, so far?
well I live in Socal so they've seen some desert dust and mud, some rain, some other mud, etc. I am by no means gentle with my YJ either so I would definitely say I have put the headers thru their paces. admitedly the coating wasn't my main concern. the Jeep 4.0L is notorious for cracked exhaust manifolds and headers. so to me the most important thing is that there is absolutely no sign of cracking at all thus far. the fact that the coating still looks good is an added bonus

I'll do ya one better, how about a link to the article I wrote on the install for Petersen's 4Wheel and Offroad magazine. then I'll go take some current pics of them tomorow if its not still pouring out
http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/techart...all/index.html

for the record the Banks header in the first pic of the article was 2 years old when i took it out. Banks headers dont stay pretty for long.
Thanks. Actually, I had found that article while searching for info before posting anything here. I found it helpful. Glad to know it was someone from here.

nice to hear some positive feedback on my article. I do freelance writing for them from time to time. they actually offered me a full time gig but i didn't want to move up to LA. The rain is supposed to let up tomorow so I will try to get that current pic of my headers condition up for you guys.
