Beer was on my list (see item right above digital camera).

I think the t-stat I bought is a better quality one then what's in there now, so i'm going to swap it out. I'm currently running a Hyperstat, and have heard almost nothing but bad stuff about their quality.

I think they are just about the same price. APC might be a few dollars more if I remember correctly. I'll go look at your post.

This was a real good read. I like the parts list. I think I am gonna go by that list. Plus some other gaskets.

I didn't see oil and a filter, but I was speed reading. You might want that just in case you drop any dirt in the lifter valley.

What do you use for t stat gasket sealer? Got any extra lying around?

Yes, I forgot to put oil filter and oil on the list. Definetly change oil after any job like this.
Plugs will be another set of Autolite 3923's.
For the t-stat gasket, I just use the gasket that comes with the t-stat, and then I put a little RTV on it for good measure. Never had one leak.

I think I am missing a gasket though. Shouldn't there be a gasket that runs on each side of the intake manifold (length of the manifold, one on the left, one on the right) where the manifold meets up with the heads? I was looking at my spare manifold tonight, and can see inmprint on it of a gasket.

OMG ....Your gonna add a wing to the truck... why would some one replace parts that already works ???? and yes there should be a gasket on each side of the intake manifolds to the head...i myself just ordered another part for the truck , well a few parts and it has to do with the engine..

The gaskets don't come with the plenum kit?
