Kegger Intake Mod DIY
Ok i may be beating a dead horse but i just read all 8 pages on the dyi section and just found this and its 25pages. All i want to know is- should i cut the runners and remove middle piece? I haul my 19 ft boat every other weekend and next year ill be haulin a 20ft rv. I dont race the ram in fact ive never put it to the floor before. So i dont daily drive it either. It was bought for lake, snow and truck purposes. Whats the advice. My aluminum plate is ordered, i can use a cutter well.
so is this the right way to cut them all the way down for the 360s ? cause i got a 01 2500 4x4 with the 360
I'm planning on leaving in the center divider and cutting down the runners. Myself and another member have been tossing that idea around for a little while now and it seems like it would make more sense to do it that way. Plus if I am not happy with the divider in, I can remove it down the road. If funds/time/availability permits, I will get pre and post dyno's of the mod. Probably no real point in getting the dyno's done, because I will be doing new timing chain and gears, water pump, thermostat, kegger mod with ebay plenum plate. So My gains will most likely be from all of that.
Ok I got a question now. Haha so why if the kegger mod makes it run better would dodge of wasted the time and money for the extra medal on the factory design in the first place? There has to be some GOOD reason on why it is the way it is. And the reason isn't just to **** us off either lol.
Haha What I mean is that just because they built it that way once, it was a perfect flawless design that couldnt be made better.
I mean even toilet paper is still evolving right? If we can't get a**wipe perfected after a hundred years, how can we expect to get this right?

1) Go to school and learn proper spelling and grammar.
2) Vehicles built in a mass production capacity are built along the lines of a common denominator, meaning the Bean Counters are very stringent when it comes to cutting costs. If the cost of properly casting the intake to conform to the Kegger Mod is feasible, then the Bean Counters will sign off on it; otherwise, it is considered non-essential. All of the vehicle's operating parameters are designed and structured to an "average" driver. Why do you think it's possible for many tuning programs to unlock "hidden" torque from the transmissions? It's all done under the name of reducing costs and also meeting fuel efficiency guidelines.
Apparently, you lack a great deal of experience and understanding of how vehicles have been built for the past 100+ years, or for that matter anything built for pass production. No matter what, people are always tinkering with said item and improving on it in ways the designers never thought or were able to do.
