Default Tow truck is on it's way

My big Red Dog did not start this morning. No warning crank cranks like a champ but does not start. I had a mechanic come over while I was at work. He said it has spark but he cannot work on it in the drive way so I have my AAA come out and tow it to his place.
If it has spark I bet its the gasoline pump. Would a pump go just like that????

Yeah that's how my pump went. Drove it home from work just fine (30 miles no less) turned it off. Came back out a few hours later and it wouldn't start. Didn't start to wine or give any warning before hand. The pumps aren't too expensive. I think mine was $500ish. Kind of a pain to change in you driveway too because you have to drop the tank.

Not sure where you live, but around here, $500ish is kind of on the expensive end.

Well I mean it's not going to set you back the way engine, axel, or transmission problems would set you back. It's closer to the low end of expense as far as automobile parts are concerned.

I had to replace both fuel tank straps on my uncle's 96 for him, and man that was a PITA. One of them rusted all the way through, while the other on was on the brink of rusting through. It took me 45 minutes per nut to get off, I just had to keep working the nut back and forth to chase the threads while spraying it with WD40.

I didn`t have any problem changing mine. The straps will come off a little easier if you put a little pressure on the tank with a jack.
