Aint a fastman/dr evil less than 4grand total to buy/ship/install?
With my fairly well built APS one I have right about $4050 into it with install. Now I didn't get a deep pan which he did and my transmission cooler isn't in that price which I think he got. Still though I think he could have come out for not much more and had a way better setup.

My APS also was brand new and built from there not rebuilt.

The Dr. Evils are rebuilt but are also a little cheaper so he probably could have gotten the setup he had for less than he paid with a well built transmission. I don't think he got the best deal but oh well it's done and over with now.

..yeah just about the same price. They did fix some seals for me as well, but in hein sight, it was more the warranty I wanted. It makes sense now though. They knew their transmission was messed up. It's why they tried keeping my truck longer with that LSD job. When I told them they could do the LSD job, he asked for me to square up with them. This way they got their money, and got more time to work on their ****ed up transmission. When I cancelled the LSD job, he was probably like, "****". They gave me a truck with hardcore problems. I think they know exactly what the problem is, and now that they go it, their scrambling to open it back up and fix it. It was just so bizarre to me that he called me last Monday. Instead of saying HEY YOUR TRANNY IS DONE, he countered it with a $1,000 lsd job. I was like ok, I guess that really wasn't the phone call I was looking for. They know what they did, and they better have it fixed for me. I too am a crazy boy with a hot temper, but I am playing it cool right now. It's my money they have right now, if I don't get a mint running truck with a mint heavy duty transmission after a 4,000 loan, they are taking that transmission out, and putting in a transmission that I want, period..

All I gotta say is that your wasting time on this forum. Instead of saying ***** **** like, "I'm sooo pissed I could I could throw a hissy fit, lol." You should be down there at that shop to go make sure the numb skulls are working on your truck. I'm not saying be a ******* because that won't get results but try to be like a father who is pissed at his son for not doing his chores. Get your *** down there and don't call them to give them warning of your arrival. Surprise them with a visit and bring your old man. Ask what it is they have done and be skeptical of everything they say. Don't just take their word for anything, get proof! They tried to F*** you before and they'll try it again. Go spend a day there with some lawn chairs and a 12 pack to see what in the world is taking so long, because if they know anything about transmissions, which they hardly seem like they do, this **** should've been done with 2-3 days after you brought it back in max. Anything more then that and they are simply just leaving it alone since you told them that they have however long it takes to fix the thing, which could be as long as you let them sit and do nothing until your young *** gets down there to make them work on your stupid truck.

And Find out what the F***ing fluid is in your tranny! That could be the F***ing reason it's running like SH*T!

I feel for you, but I also feel pissed that your acting like such a little ***** B*tch. Be a man and go down there for at least a learning experience as to what is causing all of this.

Yeah if they are dumb enough to have put cheapo fluid in there it probably wont last long. I'd only run Mopar ATF +4 mine. When I asked Wayne he told me I could run what I wanted but thats what he recommended too. It seems to be the best for these and I've heard of others having issues from putting cheaper stuff in.

Wal-Mart sells the Mopar branded fluid for like $5 a quart which sure beats the dealers $11 a quart when it's the exact same thing same brand and all.

I'm more inclined to a rebuilt one; that way the good parts are still there, where as a new tranny may have lime/lemon parts that will need to be rebuilt. Not a valid argument, just my personal stance.

Now, I am opposed to opening the transmission, but not opposed to installing one. what is the difficulty of installing a Dr Evil Street Evil transmission and what tools would deem necessary to the job?

With a brand new transmission he goes through it anyway and replaces half the parts anyway unless you buy the complete stock one. He also will test it before he sends it out to make sure it's good.

As for tools I'm not exactly sure.

Tools include: a lift (very very preferable but not necessissary), socket wrench, bfh, pry bars, line wrenches, and a trans jack. Thats about it. Oh and a catch can for fluid.

good luck with that. thats really just a romantic notion of getting someone to do what you want, once that trans is in I doubt they will take it out because you dont like it.

I mean, what do I do if the transmission is still ****ed up when I get back inside that truck? If it's still messed up, it'd be very obvious that their product is void. I'm going there tomorrow around 3:30 if they don't call me like he said he would. I'm going to find out what fluid they used, and I'm going to ask them what the hell is going on. Sucks so bad that I have to deal with this, I never thought I'd have trouble with something straight forward like a transmission. I mean, it's all these people do, how the hell do you **** that up? I understand a mechanics shop perhaps ****ing a job up because they do so many kinds of jobs, but this is a transmission shop. I paid them for a transmission, and according to them, their best product, how the hell did they slaughter that? Even if they do fix it, at this point, the whole process has been tainted, bunch of morons to say the least.

Hey neon you also gotta use this as a lesson in "judging character". Remember you thought this guy was the second coming of Jesus, and now he's more like the son of Satan to you.
