I really don't suggest punching it with that new tranny.........let everything break in and just adjust the T.V cable

Thanks for finally findout out what kind of fluid you got. That was kinda getting to me...

Also, do you ever plan on finding the exact build list for what went into your tranny besides the made in China sticker that says Heavy Doodie?

Don't forget to get that tool set from sears. It's got everything you need for checking plugs, tune ups, and mo. Only thing I've noticed it lacking was more larger sized wrenches.

Anywho, I'm glad to hear that all is well with the Heavy Doodie Tranny from New England's worst... Let's get that video of the truck before and after the TV cable adjustment for some contrast because if that's the only thing that's causing your odd shifts into 3rd and 4th, it might be good reason to do such a thing for many of us here on the forum. Shoot, I may just do that adjustment on my tranny seeing as how she's a dog from off the line to high speeds.

0-60 in 12 seconds with 265/75R16 tires a lumber rack or my camper, but great get up and go at freeway speeds when passing.

Hey neon, my engine cruises up to 60 like yours, but my plenum is craptastic, and I totally have that at fault for now. So if your tv cable checks out, I'd definitely consider your plenum the culprit. My tranny also needs that Mopar +4. I'm startin to feel the Mobil now, lol. Whenever I do all this block work I plan on doing, I figure I'll take a brake and swap out the fluid in the tranny.

I find a stick of dynomite will cure your problems , plus leaves a smile on the face...
I threw a stick of dynomite down a port-a-pooper one time. It was pretty hilarious. A half stick probably would have blown the whole thing apart... The full stick was over kill. Wish someone would have video taped that. Would have made for some good you-tubeage.

Definetly definetly garunteed to make you smile.
HA HA! We stuck 15 pounds of C4 under a Mercedes, awsome.

Now I know most of us have speculated that it's the tv cable, but I wanted to make videos anyways just so you guys could see what I'm talking about. I'm really tired of this transmission shop too. They obviously don't truly test drive their ****. The truck operates nice at casual acceleration and can avoid the faults, but when you are actually giving it some good accelleration, the truck is all over the road still. I called them today about adjusting the tv cable, and he said that they did adjust it and that's "the best" it could get. How am I supposed to deal with somebody that is always resilient to listen to what I'm saying and insist they know my truck better than I do..?

Anyways, I posted two videos of the truck. Make sure to read the descriptions in the videos to see what they are about. Thank you guys!

I also am going to leave a video of the truck with the old transmission. The truck would go to 5,000 rpms like butter at WOT, but now it's shifting at like 3800 rpms and completely cuts out short...again, I shouldn't even have to be dealing with this if they actually test drove my truck...sorry guys, I know this is a lot of bull****, I just want my damn truck back and running like its supposed to. Trust me, I'm just as tired of this, I just want to be left alone and not have to keep talking to those losers at the tranny shop.

Well you still have to give it a couple days. Parts gotta break in, edges have to wear down slightly. Kind of like if you moved to a new neighborhood. You wouldn't do all the normal things you use to do in your all neighborhood until your settled down and figure everything out.

Just watched the videos. That 3rd drop is kind of weird, out of my hands on that one. but the WOT one seemed like a sturdy shift. Maybe you just have to reset the shift points?

Something is definately wrong. At 55mph you truck should not be at 1500 RPM when cruising and at 2000 RPM your truck shouldn't be in OD after going WOT. I hardly know anything about transmissions but I would assume that the shift points for the tranny need to be recalibrated. Have the shift points reset to a higher RPM at the shop . If the shop gives you any lip, just tell them that the tranny isn't the way you feel it should be so just fix it so that you and them can both get on with your lives. Hell, you can show them the video of how your old tranny shifted to show them how it's supposed to be.

Be persistant and have them fix it. Don't take no for an answer. Focus on the fact that the tranny is still not shifting the way it should and that since your running at such low RPMs, due to the low shift points, your power has gone way down which is costing you more fuel since your now having to stomp on it for the truck to just get up to speed.

When it comes to the tranny shop not wanting to adjust your TV cable, forget them. Just do it yourself if you want it done right. Those guys seem like lazy f***s to me so I would suggest to keep the truck as far away from them as possible unless the issue is covered by the warranty.

im thinking that you really dont avhe any problems, the new tranny is gonna be tighter and work properly! before i got my rebuilt i could punch it one the highway and redline at WOT and take off. with my new tranny nothing like that. i can still get up a nd go, but now that its shifting properly and reset to the way its supposed to be its a lot tighter shifting. and its been nearly 9months since my rebuild.

im sorry to tell you but i dont think its gonna get back to the way it was without tearing it up. you will get used to it, and learn to live with it. actually once you get passed the newness of it you will drive less agressivley and gain about 2mpg. i did at least.

You shouldent have to live with it like that...

A perfectly good factory set tranny will rev to about 4800 rpm, so the fact that its new, and not worn out wouldent give those symptoms

What was that last shift? that one that was goofy... was that o/d or the tc locking up? either way, something is wrong.

Why the hell is your truck shaking so badly?
