ROYAL PURPLE!!
hey guys
i picked up 4 quarts of royal purple engine oil yesturday and 1 can of restore. im going to do the oil change in shop class in like 2 hours. ive read good things about both the royal purple and the restore so im hopeing to feel a little difference in just how my engine runs. has anybody else used royal purple? im also going to do a compression test either tomorrow or thursday to see if my compression was in spec after the restore, dont have enough time to do a compression test before i dont think so im just checking just to check.. ill let you guys know how i like it later in the week.. talk to you guys later, peace

RE: ROYAL PURPLE!!
I just changed the oil in my '01 Ram. I used to use dino oil, but I decided to try full-synthetic Quaker State oil. (They make a kind specifically designed for high-torque applications like towing.) I can't believe the difference. I get easier starts, better mileage, and more power.
I use Royal Purple in my Duster, and it works really well.

RE: ROYAL PURPLE!!
No one ever says I get x mpg over regular oil. Am I the only one who keeps a fuel log? I have gone nearly 200k on Quaker State, or the Quaker State high mileage, Fram filters, changed about every 5-7k miles. Synthetic would pay for itself during the life of the oil(it goes 12-15 right?)if it could return 1mpg, but not one person seems to have actual proof of that.
The first time you go RP you have to change it at 4000, then you can go 12,000. That is expensive.
