I need to know what your rpm's are. If you could tell me what rpm's you are running when in:
-3rd gear @ 40, 50, 55, 60 mph
-Overdrive @ 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75 mph

Thanks a bunch

You'd probably get alot more answers over on pavementsucks.com

I don't really know that anyone on this board has changed their gears other than nhbill and he runs 5.13s.

Ya, i'm in the process of posting the same question in a few other places, including PS. I'll have my tach installed by next week, so i'll be able to do some comparisons with what people tell me.

That's with 3.55's though right? Or did you get your gears installed?

wrong , 3:55 at 70 pulling about 1500 rpm , over drive with the 4.56 pulling 2200 rpm . buttttt my speedo is off now need to get the gear for the speedo .. be intresting to see what others say , then i can judge better what my speed is to my rpm.. of course i could be doing 75-77 mph to ?? so now the question is not only rpm to gear but if your speedo is correct to... hmmm

Yes, my speedo is correct. I had a dealership program for my tires. I don't have to adjust my speedo for gear, only for tire size.

So when did you get the 4.56's installed? How do you like them?

Well silver...I could go out and get you what I have, only problem is that I have the 5 speed. Do the two run different output ratios?

Your manual trans is 1:1, the automatic is something like .69:1 with the torque converter.

I was talking the to TheForce for a while and he thought I had 4.56s as well. Usually when I drive on the highway at 65mph, the truck is at around 2200 rpms. At 70mph its at around 2300-2400 rpms. Does that add up. Damnit wish I just knew for sure.
