8k deffinatly silver, it looks badass. not that our trucks get near that ahahha. but yeah then u have the option to go to 8k and kill it.

Another vote here for the 8000.

Your sig says youhave a flash, so I'm guessing your rev limiter is above 5k.

The only advantage to the 5k would be if you NEVER go to or above 5000 it would be a little easier to read. If the truck is even capable of 5k (it should be) I'd get the 8000. Looks better too.

Found an even better one that i'm going with instead. It is absolutly identical to the stock gauges, including the way the needle is red into a black round center piece, the white hash marks, black face, etc... No other gauge will look more stock then this one, so i'm getting it instead. Plus, it is about $30 cheaper then the Autometer. It is a 6000 rpm tach too.

hey guys im kind of new to this stuff but i just gor a 99 dodge ram 1500 and it dosnt have a tach on it and i was just looking for a small tach to put in just to see whats going on with it and where would hook that tach up on the engine so you can get a good reading. thanks

I don't like that one as much as I like the Autometer one but for a savings of $30 I'd probably go with it as I don't like the Autometer $30 more lol.
