Default Tach selection

The tach I want to use is the Autometer Z-series. It's nothing fancy, which is actually why I want it. Looks stock with it's white lettering, red needle, and black back and face. Which should I go with though, 5000rpm or 8000rpm (that's the only 2 they offer).

I never really have my truck up to 5000 rpm, let alone 8000. But, I think the 5000 rpm tach looks kinda funny. Plus it would have a lot of needle movement. The 8000 would have less needle movement, and I think it looks a little better. What do you guys think?

It's nice, but it doesn't match the stock gauges or the aftermarket gauges I already have. I hate the look of aftermarket gauges that don't match, just my pet peeve. Otherwise, i'd go with a digital tach. I'm going with one of the two I posted pics of, but which?

+1 on the 8k. That way, when you get bored with your current setup, mod more, and want to raise your shift points, you're covered.

Or if I get sick of my 5.2, I can rev it to 8k and watch the parts fly.
