Default What kind of Tranny is This?

I searched out how where to find the transmission info on the tranny. Its located drvers side, about the transmission oil pan. After cleaning it, I couldn't find an 46RE or 47 RE. What I did find is this number:

PK521 119846AA 1030 6310

Any clue as to what the heck that means?

Mine is a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500. 5.9 Liter, 4X4, automatic tanny.

Its also the Off Road style, but I don't know if that would affect the tranny. Does anyone know what type of tranny I have for sure?

It should be a 46RE

Those "rail numbers" can probably only be decoded by a Chrysler parts professional.

46RE. I have a 01 Offroad model with the 5.9L and it's a 46RE still. I'm not aware of any changes from the regular one as far as trannys go for the offroad model.

The trans on the Off Road edition isthe sameto any other 46RE. There are some minor differences between model years but nothing substantial.

In the US I've never heard of a performance model so that must not be a thing that we have in the US.

Your probably right, I think I got the 98 year confused with the interior changes... I thought it was all done together.
