It was stupid to say that because the trucks are the same length. So it would be stupid for him to tell me that i am carrying dead weight when his truck is longer, but it is no contest there two totally differnt truck, his is meant to be big and tall, but is meant to be strong, sturdy, and workable. Wow, you found one load E range tire in a 35...and its $350 a piece, that is not practical.

A long bed extended cab won't fit in my garage! I would rather have the extended cab and a short bed than the long bed and the regular cab. I don't haul much stuff. It depends on what you do with it. I don't think you can get a coard of wood in a shortbed (stakes?), and you have to lower the tailgate when you haul plywood.

The F-350 might be a decent truck (not enough experience to tell ya one way or the other), but I have heard horrible things about their diesel engines.

The Cummins and 5.9 Magnum will run many times longer than the Powerchoke... I mean Powerstroke.

Aside from the C's and D's, Q range tires can often times be as good as E tires. Q's and E's arent direct compairisons. The Q just takes precidence over E.

You started this argument after I posted my first comment. When I wrote my original comment which I still think you dont get, I was compairing his truck ext cab short bed, to if his truck were ext cab long bed. Nothing about the Furd. BTW, I believe 315/75/16 classify as 35's if my memory serves me correct, in which case tires would be 250ea. That is pretty much average since my next set of 265's are 200 ea. I linked that site because of the tire sizes just to prove a point, not shopping for the best price. Talk to Silver_Dodge on the forum if its not practical, as he has these tires. Thought I'd point that out as well.

8 ft bed, with a toolbox can still carry a quad in the back.. a 6foot., its one or the other..

Shortbeds are just the Pussies of the truck world after the 4foot shopping cartbox of course.

Longbed for the win.

Hey 01dodgeram you should sell your truck and get one of those airport suburbans, ya know the ones with 8 doors and a roof rack. You could carry all of yourfriends and 20' 2x12's. No worries about the woods either, it wouldn't make it anyway.
I have the std cab with the long bed and theres no compromise at all. I think it's a safe bet to say the only one that feels like they are making a compromise in this thread is you.
