The same reason why i went with an LSD , WINTERS !! , now i went with a POSI .. damn chevy has been using eaton posi for years out of factory. This talk about HP and mudding to need one , LMAO !!!

The reason I got mine was for improved traction in the winter time. What a differene it made too over the open diff my truck came with.

Yeah well some pretty ****ing awkward times today. Went to go pay the shop for their hour and a half worth of time with the truck. I just told them I didn't have the money right now and was getting it towed to my house. Anyways, when I got there, the main guy was just leaving. As soon as he left, one of the mechanics I was dealing with waits till the door closes and then he's like "dude, he's marking everything up". He's like he always does that. He says I know what your doing,your probably bringing it somewhere else or going to do it yourself right? I just lied and said no I just don't have the money right now. Then he's like listen I have my own shop, I work on the weekeneds. "I charage $50 an hour, and I don't go by the books, I charge wut it will actually take". "I'll find you an axle for cheap if you give me a week, and I'll put in total $400ish". He then says to me, "I would not try to use that housing, it's all ****ed up man, that thing could bind up onthe highway and make that truck go ice skating across the road. He says he is a big time mudder and says it was my housing was beaten up bad. IT was just weird though, he was backtalking his own shop and ****. It was tough to believe him, he obviously is just trying to get money for himself, it was just very weird. So he gave me his number, and said he'd call me if he finds an axle. I'm not sure what I should do. Truck gets towed tomorrow moring to my house and then I was going to buy the open carrier. But I'm not sure if I should wait for an axle if he can infact get one for $300. But anyway, just thought I'd share that, weird **** lol.
