Default s-o-b tranny

at Cottman's. got $800 tied in now (valve body work and solenoids, etc.) but problem is bigger than just valve body.

mechanic going in deeper. You know from many other historical posts these autotrannys have a reputation... a really sorry one.

I'll keep you apprised of this POS.

If you gave APS a call and got a quality one you probably wouldn't be calling it a POS.

Yep, just like Aamco... For anyone listening, NEVER, EVER, EVER take your car/truck to a chain transmission shop, always find a local shop that is older and knows what a transmission is, or go through someone like APS.

So far all I can say is I love this transmission. It does great. I can't say enough good stuff about Wanye at APS either. He is super helpful with anything I've called him to ask. He doesn't act like I'm wasting his time or anything just is super friendly and helpful and can pretty much answer any question I have. He was like this before and after I bought the transmission so he's not like some of the guys that get your money then don't want to deal with you. He still treats you like a buddy and is super helpful with anything.

Where is APS is it nationwide? I live between Dallas and Denton, Tx could there be one near here. I have the (what appears to be common) tcc o/d solenoid problem that I cant find. Are they someone a common Redneck shade tree mech can afford?
