Changing out FRONT ROTOR ASSEMBLY

Changing out FRONT ROTOR ASSEMBLY
Hey guys, I just picked up some brand new '08 rims and tires for $350. I did read the post a while back that advised that they wouldnt fit, but at $350 if i can mod for them to fit for around 400 then its still a great deal, and if all else fails i can sell them for about 1000 on ebay. So its a win win.
First my problem. The backs fit on fine. On the front the entire assembly will need to be changed out. From the shocks up.. not sure whats all included in that.. but the problem is that the grease cap sticks out to far from the rotor.. the newrims donthave the "cap" thing over therims to make room. Sofrom what i understand the older body style '01s front end mightsolve the problem?
Any info, or any suggestions welcome.

RE: Changing out FRONT ROTOR ASSEMBLY
No I have Drums in the back.
I just called the dealer.. and sadly the mechanic couldnt tell me if the 01 assembly would fit on mine. But it is a packed baring rotor.. which will work.. now i just need to find out a way to get it on there.. or if it will just bolt up.

RE: Changing out FRONT ROTOR ASSEMBLY
I've been looking into lowering my truck with an air ride kit and I've been reading that the parts are completely different. If you look into drop spendles they usually have 2 options 94-99 and 00-21. I have a 2000 and my left front bearing is grinding down and I read in the "Haynes" manual that the bearings on 2000+ are packed non serviceable units and 99 down are serviceable. So I imagin you'd have a hell of a timeconverting and will most likely have to replace a lot of expensive parts if they even fit.

RE: Changing out FRONT ROTOR ASSEMBLY
I had the same problem when i put my rims on, what i did was get a set of the caps for a Chevy that were almost the identical diameter, they were a little too large and just had to grind the material that goes into the rotor down and it gave just enough clearance for the rim.
